As part of my job as a make up artist, I often get requested to also take care of the models’ nails. In July 2015 I was booked for a job with Maybelline UK. I was asked to take care of all the nails; it was super fun and extra busy.
I must have painted 30 sets of nails that day. The Maybelline nail varnish is really easy to work with – it’s robust, non-chip and dries with a shiny, smooth finish.
We chose a big selection of colours on the day, changing it up for every new setup and outfit.
I also paid attention to the models’ hands, giving a hand massage first, then went over the skin with a dusting of Mac mineralise powder to even the skin tone and keep the skin looking matte.
I really enjoyed the challenge of painting the nails extra fast, our goal being smooth, camera-ready, perfect nails, and the images turned out great!
